The New York City Police Department Muslim Officers Society's main objectives are as follows:

 

 

To give all the members of the NYPD of Muslim faith an opportunity to be part of an organization

 

To strengthen morale and preserve the Muslim heritage and culture amongst its members

 

The organization will promote patriotism and encourage the demonstration of respect and honor among Muslim Americans in law enforcement who have contributed to the building and preservation of the United States, its institution and ideals. Also to promote the good will interest of the society and its general welfare, to further the aim and goal of the Muslim Americans in law enforcement, to create, foster and maintain a closer relationship between various Police Department and Law enforcement organization and the Muslim American communities throughout the city, state and country.

 

Promote a mutual understanding between the NYPD and the Muslim Community

 

Recruiting members of the Muslim Community to join the NYPD

 

Educating the diverse new immigrants within the Muslim Community about the laws of the city and encourage reporting crime to help insure the safety of the citizens of New York

 

To enhance the department ability by working in partnership to understand the Muslim Community

 

To disseminate information and guidance as may be necessary to enable Muslim Americans to seek their full potential and secure suitable placement in appropriate law enforcement agencies
